Warm, unhurried, and on your side
I’ve spent over ten years helping people through some of the hardest things that can happen to a person. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all model. I listen first, then build the work around you.
I’m a Transactional Analysis psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner and hypnotherapist, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My work is guided by the BACP ethical framework, regular clinical supervision and ongoing training.
I specialise in trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD. That focus comes from my training and from lived experience, so I know how much courage it can take to make the first call.
Over the years I’ve worked in NHS, private and voluntary settings with children, young people and adults. That includes veterans and blue-light workers, adults who were in care or adopted, and survivors of domestic violence and coercive control.
I also work with neurodivergent people and those whose first language isn’t English. I’m happy to adapt pace, structure and how we communicate so sessions work for you.
What sessions feel like
You set the pace. We won’t go anywhere you’re not ready for, and you can pause, change direction or stop at any time. My aim is for you to leave each session feeling a little steadier than when you arrived.
Most people come weekly at first. As things settle, we often space sessions out.
